It's a light 2D game: the store lists Windows 10/11 and SteamOS/Linux requirements and no macOS. Management is mouse-driven (click and drag horses in the yard, right-click to zoom out); riding uses the keyboard with Space as the default jump key (rebindable, arrows for gait hints). 24 languages are supported, including German, French, Spanish, Polish, Russian, Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese. The Moddable tag means you can edit game files to make custom colour palettes and change horse and character textures and text files; there is no Steam Workshop.
Exact requirements
The store page lists minimum and recommended specs for Windows and for SteamOS/Linux; copy them from the store link above — we don’t reprint spec tables because they change. The game shipped with Linux requirements, which is why many players ask about Steam Deck (see release and platforms).
Controls that trip people up
Jump is Space (changed from W in the demo patches); the hint shows a wide key.
Right-click zooms out the yard overview; horses drop near the mouse when you drag them.
Esc pauses a ride or lesson instead of aborting it.
Lesson tutorial can be skipped.
FAQ
Does it support controllers?
No — Steam lists no controller category and a July interview left it undecided (the developers' home-made saddle controller at trade shows is a one-off). Mouse and keyboard; Steam Deck is rated Playable with notes.
How do I install mods?
The store says you can modify game files for custom palettes and edit texture and text files; players put tack and clothes files in the Saves~\Mods folder (see our saves & mods page). No Workshop.
Can I play in German?
Yes — the team is German and German is one of the 24 interface languages.
